Iron Man(Review)

Marvel studios has successfully constructed the largest cinematic universe of all time; Along the way we've been introduced too billionaires, God's, King, sorcerers, talking raccoon, and everything in between. While the movies varies in tone, effectiveness; and popularity; the masterfully interconnecting in between movies has been a joy to watch unfold. Over the coming weeks I will be re watching all if the marvel properties to see how each one holds up.

First lets start with 1st "Iron Man" a film that I honestly did not enjoy in my youth nearly as much as the general, but over a decade later I am very happy to report on 2nd and much mature viewing; I thought Marvel's 1st outing turned out to be smart, bold, revolutionary, along with tons of pure entertainment. Its foremost aspect of course is leading man Robert Downey Jr. masterful performance as the Iron crusader, along with fellow casemate Gwyneth Paltroe portrayal of Miss Potts.

Their chemistry is a constant highlight of the movie along with Rooney played by Tearence Howard who we know was replaced in later movies; however that fact each actor-actress brought a certain amount of credibility plus gravitas to the role that made this film feel really grounded. At no point did I get bored the pacing is solid and the nearly 2 hours of run time flows smoothly plus undemanding viewing. Jon Favreau(Director) does excellent job at explaining to us the auidence who Tony Stark is and what is the motivation are through the entire film.

My only two critics of this movie is I found the Villian Iron Monger to be pretty one-dimensional and not that fascinating; I thought with the early back story given to the villain there would be more development in his character, but instead there was none and I found every scene Monger was in predictable hammers with dialog that was extremely ham-fisted, boring, along with grown inducing.

Secondly the final battle scene came across extremely uninteresting; at no juncture did I ever have fear that Tony Stark would die and no it wasn't because it's a 10 year later review more because the villain spent a ridiculous amount of time during the supposed climax battle trying to cram in all this belated nonsensical back story plus non relatable justification reasons just didn't work for me. However even with those few missteps this was a decidedly very well done 1st step and a much watch for anyone who just enjoys quality films. I'm giving "Iron Man
