Thor

As we continue down this radiant trip down Marvel's memory lane with "Thor". I honestly had not seen this film in years; so much that I genuinely had unremembered about 75% of the plot. This provided a more likable experience, as I felt I was seeing the movie for the 1st time again. Looking back, Thor was definitely a gamble; as introducing non comic book audience's to the more mythical along with cosmic elements of the marvel cinematic universe could have come across hokey or too much to swallow. Well obviously it's safe to say gamble paid off; however circling back to the film Chris Hemsworth pro trail of the God of Thunder is the singular reason this franchise has become a household name.
Considering this is about God's and planets that aren't actually proven to exist this could have been a jump the shark moment for Marvel even in a comic book world I say this earnestly with a cast including Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, and Tom Hiddleston; Hemsworth journey from beginning to end is what the truly carries this story.

Thor begins the movie with several different layers to him he's obviously loving, charming, cares deeply for family and friends a like, but it is his hazardous arrogance would prove to be much for even a father to take anymore. The movie main plot is Thor a demi God being cast away to earth and trying to find his way back. Without getting into spoilers if you haven't seen this one yet I will tell you the villain turns out to be Loki brother of Thor; which really won't be a surprise the writers did everything but tell you early on do not trust him. Unlike the other marvel protagonists Loki motivations are complex but sadly relatable and you truly see he believes he's right. Since Loki will return in future films there will be more talk about with him another time; one thing I really enjoyed was just all the subtle humor mostly reserved to the 2nd act of the film when Thor arrives on earth. Their not going for laugh out loud moments but just the right joke when the moment truly calls for it. I thought it was a bit of unrealistic cliche that Thor and this beautiful researcher fell in love after like 3 days but that's just me; and I did find the final battle ok but nothing I will remember. However, as I stated those are small gripes this is an extremely enjoyable film yes with some trite cliche on love and not so exciting action scenes, but at its core is about family, acceptance, growth and sacrifice. With that being said this was a suitable beginning to the franchise and I would give it
