Smackdown Live will take place Tuesday night from Toronto , CA for the second night straight . It will be an interesting case study to see the differing reaction fans might give the show from night to night . My guess is Raw will be slightly better received because it’s the established brand , but SD does have a few heavy hitters such as Cena , Orton , and Styles to shorten the gap . This will be the first week of build for the championship program between Nakamura-Mahal , I’ve been very vocal about how this is a bad match up for both ” Superstars ” , but I’m hoping to be convinced otherwise only time will tell . I haven’t touched too much on the New Day-Usos fued shame on me . It’s probably been the best storylines all these guys have been in years , New Day is the most popular tag team WWE has had in years . Usos have reinvented themselves beautifully , there aggressive urban style promos are breath of fresh and something WWE tends to shy away from.It’s a complete contrasting style from the fun loving New Day , happy go lucky unicorns guys takes on the thug . Naomi vs Natalya is the women title match at SS , why I’ve been beating my head over the wall trying to figure out why Charlotte or Becky Lynch are not being used ? Easily your top two talented females have been relegated to the bench. While Lana head scratching push continues ,I’m left to wonder does WWE have any female writers looking at this . Last week Orton challenged Rusev to a match at SS , and a collective groan came across the IWC (Internet Wrestling Community ) . The automatic dismissal of this being compelling is understandable , but I truly believe Orton has had a significant amount of more fire to his promos . It seems the last few months he realizes he’s a Legacy star and he can do very little wrong too the WWE ” Universe ” . Rusev is a tremendously underutilized act , who always performs well against the elite talent . Anything but a good to great program would be failure in my eyes , but I’ve been burned with Orton programs in the past . So we shall see . The final and most important business what is John Cena going to do next ? Since last weeks lost to Nakamura , more has come out to explain the hotshot match . Cena is being advertised for Raw and PPV events in September . Most likely to help scave off the inevitable drop in ratings against MNF , it makes sense Cena is still The Machines most consistent draw . After SD went off the air last week Cena had a brawl with Baron Corbin, is that whats next ? I hope not Cena took a backseat at Mania with Miz , and yes it involved a bogus marriage proposal but it was a mid card match . You have to wonder if WWE is under appreciating Cena , if the Corbin match happens it will be the second straight big show were he’s not in a high profile match . Either way this should be telling show to see where the SS plans shake up . Enjoy
