Two of Miami most recognizable artist Trina and Trick Daddy are back at it again with the new single “Smooth Sailing”. The track is good enough, the beat is slow and has that down south feel the one you bump your head too with not a care in the world. The main basis I choose this record is to see the stark contrast between the two. Trick hasn’t changed at all he is the same artist he was 20 years ago, and it works for him. He’s not out talking about cars, and instagram. He focusing on actuality of his life has he knows it. Trick is genuine and it bleeds through his lyrics. Trina I feel the complete opposite about, she on this record resorts to singing not good singing I might add. Her lazy attempt to add some melody to the record was like someone farting in church, uncomfortable and awkward. Trina career while far from a failure is not a glowing example of success either. She has spent better part her career being irrelevant or “the other female rapper who’s out now”. name me the Trina hit by herself go head I’ll wait? There isn’t one the bulk of her fame comes from her limited ability to spit in an era where women acts were scares. So please spare me the who she is better than, she’s not Lauren, Foxy,Kim, hell she ain’t Nikki. So listen to this record and tell me I’m wrong.
