SmackDown Live Review

Charlotte Flair returned to help Becky Lynch and hurt Carmella

Becky continues to be tremendous in whatever she's ask to do; not too many performers can pull off earnestly as well as her. So one can only hope that it will be Charlotte to be the one to turn on Becky and not the other way around. Carmella is completely unbelievable as a champion but WWE is desperately trying to convince us otherwise.

The Miz and Daniel Bryan engaged in jaw-dropping war of words

It's a shame;after all this build up over the last year; this just doesn't feel personal enough to me.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Randy Orton both attacked Jeff Hardy

Honestly this is not the most intriguing program going on SD right now,but does have a very motivated Orton doing some of his best work in years; so for that it's at least been interesting viewing at least.

Samoa Joe delivered a personal SummerSlam message to AJ Styles

Samoa Joe's delivery was menacing, focused, and deeply personal. Bringing another man's family into the mix has the potential to elevate this feud pretty quickly into something special. But that's if you believe WWE has the ability to treat a potential deep in dept story line with the professionalism and decency it would require. I don't!! But still great promo

Monday Night Raw Review

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar refused to confront Roman Reigns:

Well here on day 989 of Vince's endless attempt to get the fans to care about Roman; we were back to the same old story about how we the fans should for some unknown reason should hate Brock Lesnar because he doesn't show up to work everyday ect........however I would be remiss if I didn't mention with all those caveats last night promos worked better than most;

Constable Baron Corbin def. Finn Bálor

Pretty strait forward match; The post match beat down will most likely lead to "The Demon" being reintroduced at SummerSlam. At this point anything will be better than the endless meteoric run he's been on for the last year. On a side note Corbin looks fucking ridiculous I refuse to take anyone who portray them self as a serious athlete who then wrestles in a suit. Makes zero sense

Alicia Fox def. Natalya

Ronda Rousey is a star, she gets star treatment, she carries herself like a star, she is by far the premier act in entire womes division, however I seem to be the only one who is just fed up with the entire division. I continue to hear how much talent there is but I am not seeing it, just in this match alone were 3 other flawed characters to put it nicely; Natalya while extremely talented in ring but a 6 year old can cut better promos than her; Alicia Fox who's been on television a total of 6 times in the last year as a jobber but now she can go for to toe with Ronda; Finally the supposed champion Alexa Bliss who at one time I was extremely high on, but her character progression over the last year is nonexistent as she continues to come out cut the same promos, has not gotten any noticeably better in the ring.

Elias challenged Bobby Lashley to a duet

This segment was better than it had any right to be which still wasn't really that good; Ellias is clearly over but to what degree; coming out every week spouting the same catch phrase then belittling the fans will get extremely tiresome soon enough. One can only hope this fate does not fall upon Mr. Lashley; who right now feels like he currently back to treading water with mid carders, now that he's done the job for the chosen one.

Jinder Mahal def. Braun Strowman via Count-out

Who books this shit? Ok so let's check the status of all 3 jackasses in this match. Braun Strowmam idiot who walks and runs around the ring chasing someone who's stole his briefcase that he knows he's can't actually take, but no "The Monster Among men" must persure this matter and was stunned to find out he was counted out! Kevin Owens was the scared the puppy who took something he knew he shouldn't have and nearly pissed his pants and ran away in terror. Then of course Jinder the moron who celebrated such a monumental victory. This was awful.

Universal Champion Brock Lesnar attacked Kurt Angle

Wow I Must say WWE went all in with this Brock Lesnar was a bad guy and I must admit I did find some of Lesnar action unlikable and that's the story WWE desperately trying to tell, however then I'm just brought back to actual sad reality that everything that is being done is just to get Roman Reings cheered by the fans.

Also:

Sasha Banks & Bayley def. The Riott Squad(No One Still Cares)

The Revival def. “Woken” Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt(Have you ever seen a more pathetic Tag Division)

Seth Rollins def. Drew McIntyre via Disqualification(Booking 101/assume this is leading to the return of Dean soon)

Apollo Crews def. Akam

Iron Man 3 Review

Iron Man 3 should be at least applauded for the willingness to take a very stale and dated movie formula and flip it on its face. This film is careful not stray away from the qualities that make Tony Stark such a beloved figure; he is still extremely charming, brass and still funny as hell. However this is still far from your typical "Super Hero film" instead of usual car crash and explosion that have plagued the genre for decades; Shane Black instead decides to go with more of character driven story and let's just say the results are mixed.

Positives

• Another strong lead performance by Robert Downey Jr
• Excellent comedic timing; probably the funniest out of the 3.
• Ty Simpkims who played the kid "Harley" put in a tremendous performance; while not on the screen too long I thought his and Starks banter back and forth were some of best scenes of the movie
• Returning back to what made the 1st Iron Man so special and that it felt very grounded in reality; and while this film does not hit that note seamlessly; it does feel more realistic than the last film.

Negatives

• A common thread in the majority of the MCU films is the lack of a real creditable villain; and this one is no different. While his motivation are sorta touched upon, unfortunately there was never in real weight behind it and just fell short along with zero explanations on how to defeat him; just made for a very frustrating and convoluted viewing of the 3rd act.
• Too many plot twist; I feel like the film try to clever for its own good; yes surprises can be exciting but only if they make sense, and on several occasions there were plot twist that were either predictable or just made little sense.
• Lack of action; yes I applauded the attempt at making a more meaningful super hero Movie and I feel there can be a balance in doing this unfortunately I feel
this film leans heavily on the character moments and because of that I believe to more casual watchers it will drag a bit.

SCORE:(6.8)

Track Of The Day

Today's Track of The Day comes from The 1st Lady of the legendary faction Ruff Ryders; Eve wasn't the best or most successful female artist of her time, however her success in multiple media platforms is still a feat the requires admiration today. Enjoy
