Track Of The Day

Gambino may be the hardest working man in all of Hollywood; song writer, screen writer, actor, along a multitude of other endeavors. For me he's earned a certain amount of attention for any project he puts out because of attention to detail he puts in all his work.

Iron Man 2

As we truck a long this journey we land with Iron Man 2; Its comes decently short in creating the magic plus focus it's predecessor displayed: however when all said and the sequel to everyone's favorite playboy billionaire does deliver what most casual fans expect from a superhero movie high-octane, fun, along with somewhat simple-minded. Robert Downey JR returns with another entertaining performance as Iron Man; as we get to see a tad bit darker side along with sorrowful look into the consciousness of man who the world current hero. Gwyneth Paltrow is back as Pepper Pots no longer a secretary but now a newly appointed CEO of Starks industry; Don Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard as "Rodey" along with other top stars Samuel L Jackson, Scarllet Johnson all play significant roles.

Now if that sounds like a lot of pieces because it is; this film was very busy; numerous new characters and different plots to follow made this film really hard to follow at times. In football it's said if you have two quarterbacks then you zero; well in movies you can always say the same two villains no villains. While Mickey Rourke/Sam Rockwell both do adequate jobs; however the continued confusion of who should dislike more or who plans is who just didn't work for me.

The majority of the movie we were bogged down with up and down pacing issues several repetitive plot points were repeated more than once a long with setting up pieces for future Marvel projects that had zero to do with this film. I found the action scenes to be inconsistent and more times than not too unbelievable even yes for a superhero movie. Ultimately that's why if you couldn't tell I did not enjoy nearly as the first; the lack of grounded story telling. The 1st film had the aptness to make you feel like these set of situations could actually happen in our real world; the sequel greatly fails to capture that same fondness. I point you two particular scenes to illustrate my point; the Congress scene and the race track scene two scenes that were just eye rolling. With all those negatives at your feet; the movie does have strengths mostly the talent and the character building the talent performs. A list performances made this a watchable movie in my opinion; I give Iron Man 2 a 5.5 a significant decrease in quality, and substance but does have enjoyable solo performances that makes it tolerable.

‘Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom’ Rules But Drops Nearly 60%

The first frame of July 2018 goes to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, far and away the winner of the box office battle this weekend. The dino flick did, however, drop an unexpected 59.5% from its opening weekend, a substantial falling off that’s among the franchise’s highest. Universal likely isn’t too worried since the sequel has generated over $932 million at the worldwide box office, nearly three-quarters of which comes from international markets. It’ll be put to the test here in the States when The First Purge opens this July 4th holiday followed by Marvel’s latest, Ant-Man and the Wasp this weekend. After that, JW:FK should get another boost when it opens in Japan on July 13th.

Track Of The Day

Today TOD comes from one of the more unlikely collaboration in the industry today; however when you give it 2nd thought not as crazy as one would think. Both are no strangers to controversial encounters with numerous personalities thorough all genres, and for better or for worse depending on who you ask their both are mega pop stars who exceed the popularity of your Futures and Cardi B. For that single reason alone the two making money together makes sense if you ignore the vast difference in skill level and to be fair Nikki does hold her own. So Enjoy

Track Of The Day

Today's Track of The Day no one ever talks about; We All Die One Day is by far one of my favorite tracks of the 2000's as I believe everyone on this massive collaborations puts in some of their best work. Enjoy
