Eyes On The Prize – Jamal Gasol

What It Sound Like?

Tonight we got something special. I’m not much for celebrating holidays, that don’t mean we can’t get spooky! Hip Hop is all around, can’t get enough of the sounds of the underground. I’m always proud to see our featured artist at work. Jamal Gasol drops an appetizer to the brand new release of his EP split with Lil Eto. Eyez On The Prize brings you raw visuals with a subtle touch. Each scene represents an attachment to the hustle. From the scaffolds to the stoop. As you can see, it’s hoodie weather.

So, Gasol delivers just how cold the streets could get, with an even chillier flow. One of the known beat selectors, his producer of choice this time, happens to be VDon. Yes, you’ve seen the name, you’ve heard the buzz. His tracks are sought after by some of the biggest market movers in our realm. He already knows what an artist is listening for, so the beats stand out.

I hope no one gets bored of relative success stories. I can’t bring you the top athlete in the country, nor could I tell you the next crypto currency spike. When it comes to Hip Hop and urban culture, I relate more to that. The situations Jamal explains are something plenty of us know about, hands-on. The humble spirit I am, I’d rather biggup the next person, than to hate. Salute to Mr 31, VDon, as well as Eto. It’s A Dirty Game sounds like another promising project!

Money.Power.Respect – Sauce Heist x Dirty Diggs

What It Sound Like?

Another busy week, even busier weekend!

Glad to see artists I respect, getting work in. Tonight's topic really needs no intro. Sauce Heist is a gatekeeper in the underground circuit. It is hard to find someone with their ear to the streams, that doesn't know who he is.

Since our last cover, Sauce has fully vested in Dirty Diggs for production of the latest release, Diamond Dust Shoes. His song used for promo really stood out to me, so this post will focus on Money.Power.Respect

The energy is set immediately and kept through the entire tune. The high pitch sample along the heavy boom bap background mirror the piercing voice of Heist. Listen, as he shows dominance over amateur rappers. Street savvy content with a protected rare-jewel polish.

Speaking of "Smell my roses"

expressed by the artist. Our site's purpose is to  provide that platform.

HEIST LIFE is making big accomplishments. Look at the legends that Dirty Diggs are, plus the ones they have produced for. Let's encourage our brothers when the opportunity is there.

M.P.R is dope, the complete album is available on Bandcamp, it already sounds promising. I'm sure the vinyls are on their way, show your support. Thank you, as always. God bless you and yours!

Victimized – General Back Pain x Deuce Hennessy x Killy Shoot x Chuck Chan

What It Sound Like?

Long ago, I realized it was a numbers game.

So have the line up on tonight’s tune, they also utilize strength in numbers. I’m proud to introduce Chuck Chan and his comrade, Deuce Hennessy to RAN. Remember Killy Shoot and General Back Pain from previous posts?

They joined in and brought their own bars. As real emcees do. From verse to verse you are getting consistent heavy-dosed lines.  The difference in voices and flows sit well on the Chuck Chan track.

Chuck brought the pressure with this symphonic instrumental. You can’t sit still to that background! It is a pleasure to listen to this combination. I look forward to more.

Stream this till your fingers cramp on Sound Cloud. As all the artists I write about, please support their work in the stores also.

Long week for some, short week for others. Happy to be here with your company. Thanks for all the feedback, God bless!

Summer Slamm ’88 Freestyle – Ty Da Dale

What It Sound Like?

Got another one for you out of the art gallery!

Lines, lines, and more lines is what you get from Ty Da Dale. Some of the most clever ways to put them, too. The Castle Hill HEIST continues with this slick sixteen. Ty let’s the streets have it with his take no prisoners, type flow over Summer Slamm ’88 instrumental. Never shy to show his rough edges. Based on a bar from the verse, being cool with his right hand is not enough for your safety.

This is a fun joint to listen to. It’s hard, it’s witty, got the content we enjoy. The artist undoubtedly served this remix justice! Perfect timing with the follow up to his recent solo project, Tokyo Drip. Anybody with a soul has to respect the hustle and achievement of Dale. Him and his team are doing something similar to WU Tang in the 90’s. The Asian fan base is steady increasing. This is without a major company backing them. So respect the HEIST.

Pop out to Sound Cloud for the free stream tonight. Do visit Band Camp and make some purchases in his store, also. You will have that music you’re missing.

Thanks to everybody stopping through. The company is always appreciated, including your support. God bless.

Live Today – Sage Infinite x Robert Deniro

What It Sound Like?

Found a gift in my messages and I must share it with you!

Being able to witness and be a part of the healing in Hip hop is special. So, tonight we have some RAN favorites, Sage Infinite builds with Robert Deniro. They made the ultimate tune heading into Autumn. I don't think I ever said this, they made dope Autumn Music. Sage keeps the evils away with his purity. Such a recognizable charisma. We know a certain bar is set for Deniro tracks.

Rob has a short riff on top of bass keys looping just enough times, never repetitive. You will hear the vocal sample lay right in pocket. Listen to the jewels being dropped on song. I really like the defense of culture the artist's lyrics. Overall, the track has replay value. That's important to the real listeners. For now, everyone is able stream for free at Sound Cloud. Do that while you can, be sure to support their music in the major platforms, as well.

Thanks to all for passing through, along with all your positive feedback. God bless!
