The Oath – Jamal Gasol x Wavy Da Ghawd

What It Sound Like?

Time to get up with one of our Featured Artists again, what a journey. We've been seeing a lot of Jamal Gasol in the past couple years. Glad I've had the opportunity to cover his musical grind at an early stage.  Plus, an early stage for my underground write-ups.

Staying busy with guest appearances, albums of his own, pop-ups, and guess what?   Mr 31 landed a spot with fellow Piff teammate, John Creasy on Rap Is Outta Control. Happens to be one the flyest Hip Hop shows on Shade 45, hosted by DJ Eclipse and DJ Riz. They roasted the session in the midst of legend, Masta Ace!

Jamal got an inferno track from Brooklyn based producer, Wavy Da Ghawd and went to work. The keys and drums alternate never overstaying its welcome. Gasol uses each section of the beat, as he matches with flow. Content is still improving, I like how he pointed out what people call "Freestyles". He bars out for the remainder, no hook needed. Enjoy this loosey, usually means an album is on the way.

Jamal and Wavy reconnect for a banga! This is free at SoundCloud, so get stream crazy. Thank you for your company and responses. May the Most High bless you and yours.

Never – King Nasty x Rob Deniro x Icelord x Lil Eto

What It Sound Like?

You came to the right place at the right time. We're still in the heart of the underground uprising. Here at RAN, you stay connected while careers take off. Tonight is a returning cast, all emcees that previously had write-ups here. Including our producer of the project, Robert Deniro a familiar talent to our fans. After the chemistry on Mean Streets, him and King Nasty drew up with a play of their own.

You should also remember Icelord from that same collaboration. Tonight he popped up with Lil Eto of New Crack Era. They continue to lay down the independent blueprint.  Once Rob cheffed up this gritty background, slow paced and raw. The emcees had no choice, but to head tap the track! Some call it G checking, I just call things how they are. That's exactly what they did with this tune. Calling out the audio gangstas, as the artists spit authentic bars. Each voice stands out with styles that can't be mirrored, while the content speaks for itself.

This is only one of the smokers off the Drugs album, including more guest appearances you love. Slide to Bandcamp, stream and buy the brand new project by Nasty and Rob! We know it's a go. Thank everybody for the love you been sending. I pray Most High blessing for the heads that keep this going.

IKING (This Weekend) – Lupus Dei X General Back Pain

What It Sound lt Like?

I hope everyone is stuffed well with meals. Now, make some more room for these goods! Tonight is about indulging, like kings. IKING, in fact. Stemming from two potent appearances by Lupus Dei on album Holy Hands by General Back Pain. The Jesrey-Cali conduit knew the chemistry would lead to a sequel.

It was such a smooth connection, one of the new titles plays off the previous EP.  Holy Land is just one out of the pack filled with original lyrics and flows. Safe to say, no one is sounding like this. The contrast in voice tones have a genius result. They each possess grown-man bars over a prestige beat selection.

The entire track list was produced by Matthew Godfather, The Historian and Vinny Knuckles. Pure sounds of authentic Hip Hop from song to song. These instrumentals sound as if they are telling stories, themselves. Add emcees as such, you got a project of poise. Actually, the duo compliments the piece with minor acting. Just enough to complete an effective interlude.

This is a well put together album, lyrics, beats, content, and personality. It’s really for all ages, there is always a line to relate to. Let alone, my four year old recognized one of the rapper’s voices.  So, it has the skills for adults with simplicity for family of any age. I, personally can’t wait for them to put this or another joint in the stores. As for now, show your support at SoundCloud. Thank you to all visitors, return viewers included! Your reactions keep this going. Blessing from the Most High!

#GMGBiggRound-The Preface (Official Video)

What It Sound Like?

Couldn’t stay away for long. Too much uncharted talent to connect with. Thank you for your patience, all who inquire about write-ups. I aim to get to you while juggling life’s obstacles. On that topic, our artist tonight has a heater about tribulations. Let’s take a trip back to Louisiana. We land in Coushatta, meet #GMGBiggRound.

Here’s an emcee with his heart on his sleeve. Pain pours through his content and voice. Authentic, never mistaken for fraud. While many would have taken the invincible route, BiggRound embraced his weakness. Battling health issues since a child, the artist developed a lyrical weapon to fight for him.

Not only is the music tangible, I appreciate the video scene playing out the lyrics from the verse.  JaeRocTheTracka captured the prescriptions scattered on the table. If I’m not mistaken, the pistol symbolizes when BiggRound attempted suicide. You know I dig the spliff and notepad for the rhyme catalyst. Interesting fact, JaeRoc also banged out this emotional track. He knows how to get the best out of both talents.

Readers realize, I like when someone can twist something with a bad rep into something positive. Even the name BiggRound is creative, using ammunition as reference to his artistry! The tune got spiritual vibe, inspirational. The Preface is in all your favorite online stores, definitely a joint to add to your library. Heavy thank you to everybody locking in, the love is real. God bless!

Shots Reign – Supreme Cerebral Ft Killy Shoot & Jay Royal (Prod. Rob Deniro)

What It Sound Like?

Let’s keep that energy going, the emcees define our site title. More heat for you tonight from producer Rob Deniro. For good reason, his tracks are popular in our posts. You don’t need me to explain why he’s so loopy in the circuit.

Another familiar RAN affiliate gracing us is Killy Shoot, The Main South official. Mellow flow decorated with knowledge. Always stepping up level of play, he paints a graphic picture with the mic passed to him by Supreme Cerebral. Hosting the bang out, Cerebral spit that combination of live vocals and content. The Cali lyricist keeps it so Hip Hop with aggression and wit. The smoke in clears in Baltimore with Jay Royal, a sharp penman. Wordplay comes to no confusion for Jay. Kept his bars high through the clever delivery.

No man sounds alike, something we honor in Hip Hop. Each one compliments the sounds of Mr Deniro. Impressive how such a soft chord creates a banger like this. The tune is tuff and the Sativa heads will appreciate this melodic vibe.

You know your way to SoundCloud, let’s show support. Thank you, thus far, always appreciated. Peace to the All Nighters, God bless!
