Technical Foul – Ullnevano x JR Swftz

What It Sound Like?

I got a grassroots submission a while back, glad I’m finally catching up to it. For many years NY has held the torch for traditional Hip Hop. Once the ATL, 808’s, and drills started to influence the Town, other areas started to carry the traditional sound. This one hails from Baltimore, Maryland.

Ullnevano is new to our site, no stranger to the rhyme. He locked in with producer, JR Swiftz for this creative basketball theme. This key pusher has a Brooklyn and Virginia upbringing. He also has a track record with some of your favorites. I’m really feeling the titles relation to each song on this project.

The first joint, My Gawwd is more of an expression, that tune that grabs the attention. He also has a video for it you should watch. Through our side of Rap, collectibles are a thing of importance to us. When you got a pack of Fleer Cards, you knew it was worth the effort. Technical is interesting, because there’s so much more than just rapping here. Plus, the artist is free, taking his shots without standard pressure.

What better adaptation of a technical foul than Rasheed Wallace…? A more hardcore tune with the album’s only features. You will hear verses from Apt Joans, London Boii, and Illien Roswell. Rap Like is another that’s not referencing B-ball in the name. Yet, the rhymes are just as creative. Sunset Park gives this EP a dramatic ending. The movie that didn’t have your Disney ending. Actually, nothing was fairy tale about it. It’s a window into the artist.

Something really cool about the project, I get to geek out on my childhood sport. You’ll recognize clever cadences to the game. The production is also impressive. It mirrors the emcee. We also get some heart felt cuts from DJ Jon Doe Show support at Bandcamp and purchase your copy. Thanks for staying up with me. May the Almighty keep you strong!

New Look At YouTube

Big thanks to all the supporters tapping in with me. With all the turns to take online, it could be hard to keep up with your favorites. One of the main sites to visit is YouTube. Most of us spend time there. Whether it’s viewing a channel or working on our own content.

I’ve got some content there I want to share with you. Plus, my page has a new look the viewers should see. Stay up with my music, as well as journalism of our life stlye.

Snotty “ELOQUENT”(prod.MichaelAngelo)Official Music Video

What It Sound Like?

I was at my son’s basketball game today and into a convo with a parent about duos. You know we had to bring up Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp. Not just any two individuals can be a recognized duo. They also compliment one another while reflecting their strong points.

Which is what you get with this team up. Snotty spins back through with producer, MichaelAngelo. Together, they brought some hardcore for the speakers. The background is rugged with bass, Snotty spits street savvy bars.

You also get a visual adaptation. Watch the treatment shot by Hyperlinks. I feel like they were able to build a parallel vision. The tune has struggle and reward. The slick lines along with the content is a strong statement for the artist. This is the type of song I could see on the Hip Hop playlists. By now, I’m sure it made it to a few, at least.

Team effort is evident here. It sounds like the producer knows the rapper and the rapper feels comfortable with the beats. This is one of the singles from Garments Of Italy, a recent album. Pick up your copy at Bandcamp. Thanks for staying up with me. Peace from the Almighty!

General Mysonne – Cocareef Feat. King V & Muggz On Drugz

What It Sound Like?

Tonight, we get serious. It’s sad the people have to face issues like this. The fact someone still violates in such a disgusting manner. An incident took place where a man tried to force a woman of a train. Not only was it against her will, she was barely awake.

Cocareef steps up to the plate taking the position of protector for our women. He gathered more stand-up men to rhyme in on this topic. King V along with Muggz On Druggz join him in the front line. The melodic background is set by GG Of Drynage.

The artists uplift our ethnic women while reassuring that sense of security. We’re used to the gritty rhymes, so this topic is due for. I’m always about tunes that sound different from the bunch, as long as it has that groove. In this circuit, the ladies tend to feel left out. This should direct attention towards them.

Strength, unity are just a couple words that represent this tune. These ladies usually get the short end of the stick, especially in media. Unfortunately, they are too many times the scapegoat. Tonight we hear something that defends them, plus serves as a plug to the statements made by Mysonne about this ugly event. So shouts to him, as well as all the ladies out there. Let’s keep them safe. Thanks for staying up with me. May our Lord continue to bless you!

Falcon Outlaw x Daniel Son – Hard (Prod by Judex Beats)

What It Sound Like?

Let’s keep it rolling with this new heater. Or should I say High Heater. Something from solo artists with history. Now is a good time to reconnect. Plus, the chemistry is constant.

Since Brown Bag Money, there has been mutual appearances from Falcon Outlaw and Daniel Son. Tonight, we have their latest tagged piece of work. The emcees spit over the sick strings from Judex Beats. They provide that back and forth flow. Similar to Kiss & Styles memorable verses.

This joint keeps that spook factor alive, squashing all that cute rap going on. The contrasts in vocals benefit the song. The stanzas stick to the topic without anything cliche. No one trick ponies around here.

My intro to Outlaw was with his partner in rhyme DNTE. He shows layers whether it be a Falconcrest song, solo, or outside feature. His teamwork ability should be noted. Daniel had ill corresponding lines on this joint. A song you will want to replay. It just dropped in stores earlier, so run it up. Thanks for locking in. Almighty grace and blessings!
