Cocareef – Fruit Loop Killer

This is a league of trend setters, dedicated to their craft. There’s a climbing amount of artists that go unnoticed for doing things a famous person gets praised for. We witness some of the greatest branding strategies.

Fortunately one of those strategist, Cocareef provided us with an early listen to his latest album. Bouncing back from hospital scare, he continued to deliver albums for treasured emcees. Now, it’s all about displaying skill with superior beat selection. Each track is from Potz Lawrence with collective versatility.

A line that sticks out to me. Reef says, “I Keep one eye open like a broke Corvette.” That’s from Hurt Me, which is one of my favorites along with Reverse Ethics and Yea Yea Yeah. Cocareef is accompanied by some select features. You’ll hear vocals from Ambishouz on several tunes. The other feature is from Mally Corleone, on a unique promo track. Reef gives us his signature street anthem approach. He also has the witty lines for lyrical fans, metaphoric subjects and something for the ladies. Slide to cocareef.com for your copy.

Thanks for staying up with me. Peace and prosperity!

General Mysonne – Cocareef Feat. King V & Muggz On Drugz

What It Sound Like?

Tonight, we get serious. It’s sad the people have to face issues like this. The fact someone still violates in such a disgusting manner. An incident took place where a man tried to force a woman of a train. Not only was it against her will, she was barely awake.

Cocareef steps up to the plate taking the position of protector for our women. He gathered more stand-up men to rhyme in on this topic. King V along with Muggz On Druggz join him in the front line. The melodic background is set by GG Of Drynage.

The artists uplift our ethnic women while reassuring that sense of security. We’re used to the gritty rhymes, so this topic is due for. I’m always about tunes that sound different from the bunch, as long as it has that groove. In this circuit, the ladies tend to feel left out. This should direct attention towards them.

Strength, unity are just a couple words that represent this tune. These ladies usually get the short end of the stick, especially in media. Unfortunately, they are too many times the scapegoat. Tonight we hear something that defends them, plus serves as a plug to the statements made by Mysonne about this ugly event. So shouts to him, as well as all the ladies out there. Let’s keep them safe. Thanks for staying up with me. May our Lord continue to bless you!

Vega Arms – Cocareef X Bub Rock X Onaje Jordan

What It Sound Like?

Yea, we're in reel mode, seeing more vid submissions, lately. From the Bandcamp banger, The Diaz Brothers we  heard blends of styles.  Cocareef never  lacks, you also got to see the outcome of  him working with other emcees. Vega Arms is the bonus  feature  with Long Island lyricist, Bub Rock. Listening  to this tune puts me in that good vibe.  Reminds me  of that feeling when rap was right.

Grassroots Hip Hop style with Onaje Jordan looping the foundation for the artists. He found the hardest point of the record to splice, it bangs. Bub is witty and in the zone. Selected slight hesitations at moments paint a picture of the artist feeling at home in the booth.  Reef feeds  the youth  of Hip Hop while he  explains  feeding his  own. Both  figurative and metaphoric meanings.

The video itself, also uses some blending. Starting with  an American trafficking classic to new age Asian mafioso. Action all across the board. Peep the multi-angled  approach of Hip Hop elements expressed by the  mind  of  Cocareef. Let's not  forget  that  cover created by his artist, Anthony Calixto!

Enjoy this tune and video at YouTube, plus Bandcamp. Actually, recently released in all majors. Share it and follow. Thank you for keeping up with our artists, and site, Jah bless!
